Toby Mac Joins Brandon Heath

Brandon Heath and Toby Mac will share the stage together for the annual “Love Your Neighbor” benefit show to raise funds for a specific need in the local community. Also Joining them will be Mandisa and highly-acclaimed songwriter and Dove-winning Producer of the Year, Jason Ingram. Hosted by Fellowship Bible Church in Brentwood, Tenn., this year’s event will be Tuesday, May 28, at 7 p.m. All proceeds will go to New Hope Academy, a privately-funded pre-Kindergarten thru sixth grade school in Franklin, Tenn., which exists to serve low-income families with free tuition for its classical education.

Heath and Ingram created “Love Your Neighbor” in May 2008, and the annual event has raised more than $140,000 for Nashville and surrounding area needs.

As demonstrated by Heath’s involvement with “Love Your Neighbor,” his new single which released to radio recently, “Love Does,” carries a message of love in action. Heath wrote the song to celebrate his mentor, Bob Goff who authored a book with the same name.

Heath explains, “Love is action, it literally transforms people. If we are not in the action of loving on a daily basis, and learning what love is and isn’t in those actions, then I think we are missing out on what life is.”

Hawk Nelson says Thanx "dude"

Hawk Nelson lead singer Jon Steingard on the success of "Words" at radio: "Dude, we are pretty overwhelmed. It's connected at radio better then anything we have ever done. It spent a month at #1 Hot AC, and we're now Top 3 AC Indicator, Top 10 AC Monitored, Top 10 Soft AC, and Top 10 National Christian Audience. It's insane to think that already 110 stations are playing the song! Not that I judge whether we are doing the right thing by the radio charts, but it's super encouraging to us. We prayed 'God, if you want us to do this open the doors and we'll step through' and He is totally doing that right now." -Jon Steingard

Did you hear Hawk Nelson recently announced they'll be on tour with The Afters and Building429 this fall?.... Well you just did!!!  ~ The Turnip

Thank You, No Day Wasted

I sat amidst the piles of confetti and noisemakers today...taking a moment to reflect on the past 10 days.

This season of my life has been all about "no day wasted"...a conscious effort to make every day matter. I couldn't help but think that the last few days have been lived to the absolute fullest. You did not let one day pass took every opportunity  to get involved and support Air1, more importantly, support the people that listen to Air1.

Thank you…that is what is in my heart today....a feeling of overwhelming gratitude and thankfulness for believing in Air1 enough to make room for it in your budget...we realize and respect that every gift is a sacrifice.

I heard from a listener the other day that said , "I wish I could put into words how much of a difference Air1 has made in my life." I told her, "you don't have to...I can hear it in your voice." I hope you can hear through this note how thankful we are to have you in our hear your hear how God is working in your life - much the same way that he is working in ours.

Thank you again for your support - for joining together with the common goal of supporting a station that God is using to bring people to Him. The confetti and the noisemakers will soon be put away...but the impact of the gift you made during the Air1 pledge drive will carry on for months and years to come...that's pretty sweet. ;)

Sanctus Real's "Pray" Featured In National Day of Prayer Campaign

Today is our country's National Day of Prayer. Sanctus Real's latest single, "Pray," off their album Run, was used to in a campaign to help promote this special day.

"We wrote the song 'Pray' because these are anxious times and the awareness that we’re just one thumb tap away from another shocking headline can be stressful. Sometimes it’s not world news that leaves me anxious, but parts of my own little world that seem to be falling apart," lead singer Matt Hammitt explained. "The pressure of holding it all together is daunting when I get to thinking it’s on my own shoulders."

He continues: "Sometimes I find myself tossing my hands up in the air and asking in an exasperated tone, 'What in the world is going on?' Every public headline and personal challenge is a reminder, as well as a call, not to lift our hands in despair but rather to continue lifting our hands and voices in prayer. We are longing to see a move of God in our nation, amongst its people and leaders, and we are excited to partner with National Day of Prayer in an effort to urge and inspire people to pray. Will you answer the call?"

The band also released a video sharing with listeners why they think prayer is important!
