If you like worship music ...

... then you probably have heard of Matt Redman, or at least, you've heard some of his songs on Air 1. Do you recognize "Blessed be Your Name" or "You Never Let Go"? Yeah, those are Matt Redman songs!

So Matt's been busy moving from England to the U.S. to plant a church in Atlanta, taking care of his wife, who is having baby #4, and just this week, he was finishing a new album with more awesome worship music. His new CD, We Shall Not Be Shaken, is coming out August 25th!

I love that Matt used the Psalms as inspiration for this new album:

“This album praises God’s steadiness,” says Redman. “We’re being reminded how shakable earthly things are—job losses, home foreclosures. When we traveled to Korea, there were high profile suicides due to the failing marketplace. So it feels appropriate now to address the economy in a worship song. Nothing in the Psalms was ever detached from its era.”
So here's a question for you: who's your favorite worship artist/band? Post it in the comment section. I'd love to know!

The Wrecking on their "Twilight song"

In case you hadn't heard, one of the top Air 1 bands, The Wrecking, has a song that is being considered for the soundtrack to the "Twilight" movie sequel, "New Moon". Some people have been wondering about that ... why would a Christian band write a song for a vampire movie? The truth is, the song wasn't written for or about the movie! If you want the whole scoop, and the "Twilight" twist, check out what Douglas from The Wrecking shared.
