NEW David Crowder Band song

Have you heard the new David Crowder Band song, "How He Loves"? Rumor has it (through the DCB blog) that the first time David Crowder heard the original version of the song he was on a plane and it made him cry. He hoped he didn't scare the people sitting next to him!

Dave himself blogged about what happened on the plane, too, so I'm tempted to believe the rumor.

You can hear "How He Loves" on the DCB Myspace page (maybe it'll make you cry, too ...)

By the way, the new DCB album "Church Music" comes out September 22nd, and in addition to this remake, they also cover a Flyleaf song. Sounds great to me!

The new discovery of an old David Crowder book

Yesterday I felt like reading. If you're anything like me, you have a ton of books you don't even know you have. Books people have given to you, or books your friends left behind, or books you bought and said "I'll read it later". So yesterday, I browsed my bookshelf and found a David Crowder book called "Praise Habit: Finding God in Sunsets and Sushi".

I'm not into Sushi at all, but I was curious about what David Crowder had to say, so I picked it up and started reading. What a cool book!

Who knew David Crowder spent a whole 5 minutes on getting his hair to look like that!  (He mentions it in the book.)

And who knew he picks up donuts for breakfast? And I definitely didn't know he found the challenge of holding one's breath entertaining and challenging. And somehow this all has to do with praising God. I'm still reading, and so far, he's making me re-think how often I praise God and if it's really a habit of mine. Good stuff to think about. I'm glad I made that new discovery of the old David Crowder book. Dude, write some more!

Of Sno-cones and David Crowder Band

I can't believe I had not told you about one of the most random blogs you'll ever read ... David Crowder Band's blog! It is so random, it almost doesn't make sense. But, strangely, it does! The "cat flushing a toilet" music video? They blogged about it. Guys with beards mowing lawns? They blogged about it. Left-over chocolate bunnies? Yep. Favorite sno-cone flavors? Yeah, and don't even suggest they try "blue" flavors. I know, random. But it's the most entertaining blog you'll ever read. Besides this one, of course. ;)

Sunday worship video with ... Flyleaf!

Flyleaf blew me away at the Rock and Worship Roadshow in Oklahoma City a few weeks ago. They did a medley of David Crowder Band's "You Are My Joy" and Hillsong's "From the Inside Out" (which is one of my personal faves). Unbelievable! Check it out in this video from Austin City Limits. I found the clip in a random guy's blog. Random guy, thank you for posting it. You rock!

By the way, there's a new Flyleaf album coming out soon ... we'll keep you posted!
