BarlowGirl just released their new album "Love and War" today and on top of that, they'll be making some special TV appearances this month!

 

You can catch the girls tomorrow, Wednesday, September 9th, on the Joyce Meyer special "Lives Changed Part I", and check out Becca Barlow's testimony.  The show's website has more details on where you can watch it on TV and online.

"One of my favorite songs on the [new album "Awake"] is called "One Day Too Late." It's probably a little sentimental to me. The reason is because I have spent most of my adult life on the road with Skillet. I got married and Korey and I went on the road together. Next, we had kids on the road, and my kids have spent most of their lives on the road! All that to say, we have given every year, month and day to our music and the message. Sometimes I have to step back and realize that maybe I give too much time to this work. Perhaps I need to spend more time working on those relationships with my wife and kids, rather than spending all of my time on the music and ministry of Skillet. Because in the end, who cares how many records we sell, or how many lives are touched, if I ruin my relationships with my family or if I am a bad father, etc. Who knows how much time we have on this earth, and I want to live every day knowing that I lived for the things that really matter."

Yeah, Hawk Nelson fans who saw them on the Rock & Worship Roadshow tour, already heard the title track of their upcoming release, "Live Life Loud". They played the song as part of their show on the tour, and it's also the title of their upcoming album #4, set to release September 2009. That's gonna be a good month with new stuff slated to come out from both Hawk and BarlowGirl!  Oh, and you know who's co-writing some of the new Hawk songs?  TobyMac, Trevor McNevan from TFK and FM Static, and Bart Millard from MercyMe.  Sounds awesome!

 

Yeah, what's up with BarlowGirl? I hadn't heard anything new recently, so I went on a search. Turns out, they're working on album #5, due out this fall! And in the meantime, they're taking your questions. They have a cool new thing on their website, where you can type in any question you want to ask Becca, Alyssa and Lauren. Then every week, they'll be posting a video, answering questions they've received. And they look so cute in the intro video! I love Lauren's hair. :)
